ART SHOW, MINER’S LEAP WINERY
CLARKSBURG, CALIFORNIA
John Duggan’s first US art show (in recent memory) was held at the beautiful Miner’s Leap Winery along the Sacramento River in Clarksburg, about 30 minutes south of Sacramento. He displayed approximately 15 paintings at their annual wine tasting event, and also tasted some of their excellent red wines.
EVENT PAINTING
As a painter of events, I portray the atmosphere and surroundings during the actual ceremony or reception, starting with a blank canvas and depicting the scene in acrylics as it unfolds. My 30-year experience as an architectural renderer comes in handy, as I’m very fast and accurate laying down the various details of the setting.
ART SHOWS ITALY
John displayed 50 watercolors and acrylic paintings at the annual Open Courtyard Day in Lecce, the one day a year that 25 majestic villas in Lecce open their doors to the public. He also held a Christmas show was held in Galatina at Palazzo Baldi, a beautifully-restored hotel dating back to the 1500’s.
