Painting on panels and/or canvas is a more flexible option, both with the execution and placement of the finished painting. Duggan has produced large decorations on panels for architects, designers and private clients. One of his most important works was painting a series of 15 Via Crucis (Stations of the Cross) panels for the Church of Santa Maria della Porta in Lecce, where he also designed the large stained glass window behind the altar.
